At Trueline Surveys we pride ourselves on attention to detail and are specialists in providing topographical survey data using the latest Leica instruments and software to ensure a fast and cost effective field to finish solution.
A topographical site survey provides our clients with an accurate and well presented drawing of features in the surveyed area. We use Leica GPS Active Network Smartnet System to bring control points to relate surveys to various grid references eg Irish Grid or GB.
Surveys can be carried out using GPS or by using Leica 1200 Robotic Total Station. All surveys can be provided in either 2D or 3D subject to the client’s requirements.

Trueline Surveys specialise in measured building surveys throughout the UK and Ireland. Measured building surveys are proving to be in demand as more clients are considering renovating their existing premises or want a more accurate picture of the property they own.
Here at Trueline Surveys, we are able to provide our clients with a detailed measured building survey of their property which can include existing floor plan, sections, structural details and internal and external elevations so that they can take all aspects into consideration before commencing the project.
Measured building surveys are also a useful instrument to determine how a new development may affect existing buildings and in this case measurements can be used for ‘right to light’ surveys.

Land transfer maps and boundary disputes form an important part of our business and Trueline Surveys can provide our clients with an accurate map of their land to help to identify ownership.
Land transfer maps are necessary when changing ownership of land so that Land Registry hold a valid up to date record. Trueline Surveys can provide an accurate map by using information from the ground and existing Land Registry records. This map can then be used by the client’s allocated professional to apply to Land Registry for transfer.
Boundary disputes in some cases can be avoided by determining boundary positions through liaising with Land Registry thus avoiding costly court cases. Through measuring existing boundaries and overlaying against Ordnance Survey and Land Registry maps, Trueline Surveys can help to illustrate and resolve if there is a boundary encroachment.
If you have a boundary issue or require a land transfer map then please contact us for a quotation.
Using the latest generation dual-frequency Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), Trueline Surveys are able to locate and trace underground utilities and buried services providing valuable information for clients considering further development.
We can survey cover levels, open covers and identify service type and measure inverts, record chamber details and report pipe locations, directions, sizes and type. This information can be added to a manhole record sheet.
If you require underground service tracing or manhole surveys, please contact us for a quotation.
At Trueline Surveys, we can undertake volumetric surveys to calculate in cubic metres the volume of material in an area. This type of measurement can prove invaluable to contractors quoting for large scale ground works as we can generate the volume of cut and fill required for any proposed contract thus enabling more accurate costings.
Cut and fill volume calculations can be used for a variety of projects:

In our changing environment, Trueline Surveys have been asked on an increasing scale to perform river surveys. We often carry out 3D contour models on riverways where the local surrounding area has recently flooded and so may prove to be a flood risk to local residents.
Our river surveys and flood risk surveys include cross sectional measurements of the river, cross sections of structures along the watercourse and topographical information. River cross sections can be provided in spreadsheet format showing coordinate and chainage which can be used by consultants for flood risk assessment projects.
Trueline Surveys can also perform hydrographic surveys on lakes and reservoirs using an echosounder attached to our GPS equipment. These surveys can be used for example to calculate the volume of water stored in reservoirs or to assist with dredging.
If you should require a river survey or hydrographic survey, please contact us for a quotation.
